Viv, a French root word which means “to Live / to be alive” also happens to be shorthand for our founder and head winemaker’s name, who in her own words has this to say about the project:

“Having the courage to follow my truth and be myself means that I’ll be around for a long time to come. To be alive, indeed. And that I’ll be around for a long time means there’s more time to do good, meaningful things. $3 from the sale of every bottle of this wine will be donated to the Transgender Legal Defense and Education Fund in support of their Name Change Project Initiative - a cause both incredibly personal and incredibly important to me - in an effort to provide support to other queer and trans folks.”

Our 2023 VIV label Lumière Rose (‘Pink Light’) is a delightful 70 / 30 blend of rosés of Syrah & Malbec that shines like rubies in your glass. Strawberries, ripe honeydew melon, cherry blossom and a hint of ocean breeze greet the nose while ripe raspberries, star fruit, peaches, a hint of basil, cherry preserves, and echoes of vanilla and brioche await in glass. Pairs well with sushi, grilled vegetables, barbecue pork, smoked salmon, paella, charcuterie, goat milk cheeses, and so much more!
