Viv, a French root word which means “to live/to be alive,” also happens to be shorthand for our founder and head winemaker’s name. In her own words, she has this to say about the project:

“Having the courage to follow my truth and be myself means that I’ll be around for a long time to come. To be alive, indeed. And that I’ll be around for a long time means there’s more time to do good, meaningful things. $3 from the sale of every bottle of this wine will be donated to the Transgender Legal Defense and Education Fund in support of their Name Change Project Initiative - a cause both incredibly personal and incredibly important to me - in an effort to provide support to other queer and trans folks.”

Our 2023 VIV label white wine release brings to life our dreams of showcasing Tempranillo as a white wine! We gently crushed Tempranillo grapes and pulled the juice off the skins immediately to make this joyous white wine. Pineapple, mango, hyacinth, pear, tarragon and a fresh ocean breeze greet the nose while dried apricot, guava, green apple, passionfruit, orange, kiwi, and slate stone await at first sip. Pairs well with halibut, roasted veggies, grilled mushrooms, baked salmon, and quality time with the ones you love!
