Viv, a French root word which means “to live/to be alive,” also happens to be shorthand for our founder and head winemaker’s name. In her own words, she has this to say about the project:

“Having the courage to follow my truth and be myself means that I’ll be around for a long time to come. To be alive, indeed. And that I’ll be around for a long time means there’s more time to do good, meaningful things. $5 from the sale of every bottle of this wine will be donated to the Transgender Legal Defense and Education Fund in support of their Name Change Project Initiative - a cause both incredibly personal and incredibly important to me - in an effort to provide support to other queer and trans folks.”

Our 2021 VIV label Côt Blanc is a delightful white Malbec. Yes, you read that right! We gently crushed the Malbec grapes and pulled off the juice immediately to make this joyous white wine. Honey, peaches, dahlias, a fresh ocean breeze, and tangerines greet the nose while nectarine, plums, honeysuckle, sage, kiwi, and lemongrass await at first sip. Pairs well with halibut, roasted veggies, grilled mushrooms, baked salmon, a variety of salads, and quality time with the ones you love!
